We apologize and sincerely regret the extended time frame for delivery of this last production run. From now on it should not be an issue. We did work to fill our orders from oldest to newest but we had a back log of orders from late October. January was in the middle of the pack. It took us about a week to get them all packaged and shipped and during that week we did ship brand new orders as they came in.

ZL1-V that did the trick. Went right on without any issues. Also removing the hoses from the catch can is key.

I was one of the original orders going back to Oct. I will admit I hated waiting for it to arrive but it was my choice. Apex kept me in the loop on a regular basis and I could have cancelled it anytime. What I determined from my research waiting for the can to arrive was far better than going to the competition.

Just got my Apex catch can today. Quality is A1!!!!! The only thing...... Is there suppose to be a seal between the two parts of the can? My Elite Engineering can had a rubber o-ring to seal the two parts. This one does not have a rubber o-ring between the two parts. Does it seal without one?? From anyone else that has ordered one, did it come with a rubber o-ring?

Our catch can is designed with a mechanical seal rather than relying on an o-ring. No need to add another component when you can just design a proper seal into the can. We have pumped the can up to 60 PSI with no leakage whatsoever.

Thank you. The lead engineer on our catch can previously worked for a military contractor that designed and manufactured parts for nuclear submarines. He is really good.

Is there an easy way to remove the vacuum hose from the blower? Do you need fingers of a child to pinch that connector? My catch can is all mounted up but I can't get that hose off to save my life.

Just remember the little tab turn counterclockwise if your looking at the opening. I used a long screwdriver to slide the little tab down then pull. Its easier if you get the top one first then you can turn the whole thing so that the tab on the bottom hose is facing you. Then just push that tab down with the screwdriver and pull on the hose. Voila!!!

This. There should be a really good picture of how that connector works in our instructions. Tiny hands are helpful.

+2

That is exactly what you need to do! I thought it would be more difficult but they both popped off. Top first as stated above.
