Presentation on car production

I'm doing a presentation on how car production has evolved since Henry Ford started using the assembly line. Would love your guys input on the subject!

Thanks

What kind of input are you looking for? Do you have a general outline yet?

I get plenty of help from schoolwork online so I'd be glad to help out!

If you are focusing on manufacturing, the big thing to include will be the advent and advancement in automation.

Second, and a huge element, is labor and the impact of the UAW in particular.

If you want to truly do a comparison, look up the Toyota Manufacturing process.

Also you can go back to Henry Ford's day and vertical integration where Ford owned their own rubber tree plantations to make tires vs. the Kiretsu (sic?) in Japan.

You could focus on the "transplants" from BMW, Mercedes, Hyudai/Kia, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen, Subaru (all non-union if I recall correctly) and their impact on culture, labor and local communities.

So many ways to go.

I've seen documentaries regarding this and I'm sure if this would have been more subject like this I might have went to school more often. You can even look at the evolution to the engines in the model T to todays cars. Kool subject.

Thanks for all the input so far looked up most of those and it gave me some stuff that I could use.
On the presentation I'm focusing on how the manufacturing of cars has evolved like how stuff is done by robots and some of the new tools used and stuff like that.
Thanks in advance
