Painting calipers and rotor hats
Hey guys. My rotor hats are building a lot of rust on them so in going to paint them along with the calipers since I will be down there already.
I heard G2 for the calipers is the best. I just want to know if the people who have used this have cleaned the calipers only with what the kit brings or do they go a step ahead and sand them. For the rotor hats, I want to know what the best approach is the clean them before I paint with a brush and high temp paint. Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

I spent about an hour per brake with a sander and brake cleaner on the Monte. But I love the G2 kit, was very easy to use.

I didn't sand mine, but I cleaned them really well. I probably spent about a half hour or so cleaning each one, I got spray on brake cleaner, which helped. Then I got a tooth brush and brushed every single crevice. My brakes where pretty clean to begin with, but prep is everything with this type of thing so I didn't want to skimp on it.
