Borla ATAK axle back for SALE !
Hi everyone
I decided to sell my Borla ATAK axle back. The reason for selling it is because I am converting my SS to ZL1 body kit. So when I bought the ZL1 diffuser, I needed a quad exhaust to fit. I really like the BORLA ATAK cuz it is so aggresive and loud. They are used for about 5k - 7k. They are in good shape. (No scratches on the polished tips) I am looking for 400$ shipped to any address. Pm me if interested Thanks Kindi |

Just curious, how much louder and aggressive did you feel this made over stock? So hard to tell from videos, I just never feel like the stock is loud enough!

Fellow Cape Codder. I'm from the Cape, Yarmouth. I have LT Headers and HF Cats on my 2SS with Borla ATAK. Want to scare small children and your neighbors? Buy this system you will love it.

I put the Borla-S axle back on mine and it made it sound very nice. The atak will definitely be louder and more aggressive sounding...but if you do not plan on doing LTs or any other mods other than an AXLE back...you will prob be pretty happy with it...and it will drone around 1500-1700 RPMS but I kind of like my drone

Odd, I dont have a drone problem. 6th gear around 70mph. No issues.

as far as I know Borla makes some of the best sounds exhausts but do have issues with drone... Let me know if you did anything special with your exhaust (I only have an axle back...not sure if a full cat-back would be better but I have still read threads where guys have drone...) Maybe you are just outside the frequency range? I tend to drive more around 75-78...and i hear it bad at those speeds in 6th...drop it into 5th and i get nothing, speed up to 80 and its pretty much gone... tell me your secrets! |

I'll have to test it out at different speeds. I drive 60-90 (sometimes) and dont notice it. I cut out the resonators and have factory from the cats back otherwise. I do have a tune on the car but really didn't specify to tune it out. I'll play with it and see what I find.

I installed the ZL1 corsa cat back on my SS and has zero drone comparing to the borla atak.
It's a bit quieter than the borla but I like the sounds of it. It has 3" pipe which gives a deep sound and good in performance. I just need a LT to make it louder. |
