New tires
Just ordered my new tires. Michelin Pilots A/S 3 for $290+tax free shipping, Michelin is giving $70 back too and I got a $50 discount coupon. I have been with a screw in the rear tire for three weeks and no one wants to fix it. Luckily it does not leak too bad. Maybe 2 psi every three days but I wanted to get the best deal I could find.
I went with the factory size to stay consistent, I am upset that I have to replace them with only 8K miles but I think the new ones are well worth it and should last me quite a while. Anyone else with the Pilot A/S 3?

I put Pilot's on before driving from AZ to NY. Due to the road surfaces out here being so bad, it's a little tough to compare them to the Goodyears. They did, however, handle well on the drive out, including dealing with multiple rain storms.
I actually did like the GYs, but then again, they were made for climates like that in Phoenix. I also had a sliver of metal stuck in one of my rear tires. After doing research and hearing that they could not be plugged, I took it to my local Discount Tire and they did some research and said it actually could, provided it wasn't on the sidewall. (their words, not mine) So, I had it plugged and actually drove with the plug for several months with no issue. I'd keep trying, in other words.... |

No. Just putt on the PSS Saturday and good so far. Heading to Sebring July 19-20, you should come. Any reason you went with A/S over the PSS being in Miami? I actually never had any bad experience in the rain the GYs and since the PSS give much better wet traction and I track my car I went with them.

Are the Pilot's as sticky as the factory goodyears? Wanting something that does not throw every little loose pebble or rock chip.

The PSS's are more comfortable, less noisy, less darty, and don't make you fear for your life on wet and/or cold roads. I've got over 5k miles on the PSSs and unless something an order of magnitude better is out when it's time to put new tires on, I'll buy them again. |

I would like to note that OP is NOT going with PSS'. OP is going with A/S 3s ... an all-season Michelin. An ENTIRELY different (in a not-very-good way) tire than the PSS.

yes, that is why I asked why he went with All Season tires, especially in South FL where there is no snow to worry about.

I have the A/S. I bought them predominately because, while, I have no intention of driving my car in snow, if there were any bad weather issues driving across the country in late October, I didn't want to slide off the road. Basically, extra precaution. While I haven't done much technical driving on them (as stated, I spend most of my time dodging major potholes and awful sections of road), I have not had any issues with them.
With that said, I do miss my Goodyears on the AZ roads in summer (last time I used them). |

All season tires on a 1LE? Kinda contradicting isn't it?
