I don't know about 96 or 97, the 1969 is one of the ultimate and uber-rare (69 built) muscle cars of the 60s. It kind of amazes me that they don't rope off a car like that (nice that the owner didn't), ZL1s are going for like 350-500k these days...

I'm not saying that the other F-bodies near the orange beauty shouldn't have the right to be in their spot on that blacktop, but I am afraid they are out classed.

69 ZL1 is very rare! Major collector Car!
Roped off at least....

If the car was authentic, a collector would never:
-lean a sign against his car
-leave the windows down for some redneck to spit into
-leave the car unattended or in the sun for more than 15 minutes.
-put SS tube headers on a 69 ZL1....OEM BB manifolds are big bucks.
-put some Chinese repop brake booster on his car.....

But even a copy would cost around $60K-$70K to build.....those rockcrusher trannys are big bucks too.

A real one sits in a climate controlled garage, hardly to be seen. Still an awesome looking car!
