Barton Shifter

I installed my new Barton Shifter today...

LOVE IT. Feel like a whole new car. Its much easier to know when I'm in gear now.. It feels like its directly connected to the transmission.

I went with the silver annodized pistol grip in my SS/RS/M6. It looks good, is very comfortable to your hand and it really does give you a much better feel when shifting as Mach mentioned. I got it strictly for the appearance but now that I have it I like the feel of it more than the looks!

Great design and engineering on Barton's end.

Tried and installed a few different shifters, the best by far is the Barton ! I liked it so much and got so many compliments I had to put thier sticker on my car just to stop the questions.
Great Guys also !

Have a funny story. My wife had not drove my car up to last week. She owned a 96 camaro RS in the past with a stock shifter. She drove my car and told me man it was so strange the shifts are cool they are so short its fun to drive. She then went on to tell me its like driving one of those video game cars in the arcade with the pretend shifter

The Barton has no noise or vibration ! I have installed the MGW, Hurst, and Barton, and the Barton is in my Camaro. I liked the MGW but the use of pins and set screw just can't hold up to a Cast setup that you use with the Barton. Already had one instance of the MGW set screws backing out.

my barton rattles and is loud under acceleration. To the point that i have debated removing it. I pulled it out once already and reinstalled. Also tried sealer on the threads and white tape in hopes to stop it, but theres still a light rattle when gasing it. Nobody else is getting this?

My guess is that if you had problems with the MGW that you did not install it correctly... I have the MGW and I have not had any problems - I love it. I have not seen anyone but you post bad things about MGW, makes me wonder about your motivation? I am not ragging on Barton, I believe it to be a good shifter, from what I hear I would rather go with it over the Hurst. Any aftermarket shifter is going to be an improvement over stock, the stock shifter sucks.
