downshift to 1st gear
is there anything i can do to get the auto transmission to downshift to 1st gear when i mash the pedel from a roll.it seems that the only way to catch 1st gear is from dead stop or under 20 mph using paddle shifters

The transmission will go into 1st around 17-20mph. Using paddle shifters you can shift to 1st as long as the engine won't redline.

If you go in 1st gear (M) and floor it, see where your MPH are right when you are close to redlining before you shift into 2nd. Thats the fastest you can be for it to downshift to 1st while driving in Sport mode.

It's all in the tune. There are certain parameters that need to be met in order for the transmission to downshift to certain gears. One being the speed of the car, so if you go over that speed then you won't be able to downshift to the specific gear.
Either use the manual option, or get a tune where it adjust shift points and allows the automatic option to downshift to 1st gear when going faster than 20mph. |
