M49 Question.
Alright guys, so I came across a 96 camaro not too long ago for 650 and I jumped the gun and bought it. I want to use it for drifting because thats big in my area, but I dont want imports of any sort and I DEFINITELY dont want a 240sx because its a girl car and its highly stolen in this area. Its a base V6 and Ive decided to get big and drop a 350 small block into it. Now my question is for what Im using it for, drifting and maybe a once in a blue moon aka 1 or 2 trips to the strip. Would the M49 manual trans be strong enough. Ive been looking around the internet and I cant find the torque ratings for it so I have no idea. Could anyone help me out?
