GM's estimated arrival date (at dealer)...how accurate? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

My event code as of this morning was at 3800, but on the invoice, GM gave the due date as 6/12 (Friday)!! I went to 3800 on 6/4 and a week before that was at 3400. So my question for those of you who have come before me is, how close was GM's estimate to the date your car actually arrived at the dealership??

See my sig...still not here yet. I have literally been told for the past three weeks by my dealer that "It will be here today or tomorrow". Right now I'm told its sitting in a lot somewhere and is waiting to be put on a transport truck to be taken to the dealership. Has been sitting there for 5 days and counting.

However, I have heard of a few showing up early at other dealerships. Good luck with yours!

well, 7553 was built 5/5/09 and has an eta for dealer delivery 6/11/09 and has been at 3800 since being built.

i picked her up from the dealer 5/22/09...............

others, not so lucky. i know some produced the day before mine went into a QC hold and are still not delivered.

just pray like you've never prayed before! but also remember, it's almost here!

well my target delivery date was april 8-12 and i dont have it yet

Yea it was released from hold on 5/16 and was given the expected delivery date of 6/2 after it was released.

GM is telling them my car is in transit and due to arrive June 1st. The car was built over 4 weeks ago! Here it is June 8th and nothing. I've got alternative contacts to the dealership who were able to track down the car and its still at the plant! So its not in transit at all. I believe in my case the screw up is due to a random QC that the car went through. Never the less GM has bungled the execution of the Camaro. Great product, worst execution ever for preorders. This has served to really cause me to question future purchases of GM products. Maybe I'll cool off in a year but right now Im on the edge of cancelling my order simply due to the execution on their end.
