It is possible that one or more of these cars will beat the Camaro. Chevy will not make any changes to match that competition until the next generation comes out. You might as well never get a new car because there will always be something better in a couple of years.

Im not so sure. Typically, there is a new car then a few years later it gets a new engine. Then they introduce the next generation a few years later. And remember, we know that the gen V engines are comming around 2011

Even if they do change the engine lineup, the competition will be out with different interiors or options. We could all wait for the 6th generation Camaro, but the 5th generation is coming out soon. Most of us are very excited about how superior this one is going to be. Plus, phasing in new engines doesn't necessarily mean that the Camaro will immediately get one. I wouldn't expect a new car to get a newer engine unless the competition tries to top the Camaro.

I love this...all these people talking about doing this and that to get better deals. Obvioiusly you guys haven't done research on new Chevrolets lately. A fully loaded LTZ Tahoe doesn't even have 3 Grand markup from invoice to window sticker. I dont expect the V8 Camaros to have much more than $1500 markup from invoice to window....with no rebates when they first come out....obviously. So all you people who think we make tons of money.... Its really pathetic selling cars these days. People coming in on the defensive and angry to try and get better deals and trying to tell me how it is....That is no way to get good service.

I know you don't make tons of money, but neither do I. The only dealership my family ever got any respect is the one where my Great Uncle is a corporate head. We are all very knowledgeable about cars on this site, and we don't appreciate being treated like we don't know what we're doing. For us, good service is far less important than a good price because all we want is the car. For Mary Soccer Mom, good service matters. Mary Soccer Mom needs you to explain to her why this feature is special or this option is safer. Eric Ricer wants you to show him all the accessories available so he can modify his car with performance parts and appearance packages. We the enthusiasts do not care so long as we get to keep our limited resources for modifying the car outside of the factory. Most of us would rather have the car delivered by truck to our houses than deal with any dealer. We don't care who sells us the car so long as we get the car. It's not about service; it's about honestly pricing the car and giving it to the customer. Your job in customer service is to make the customer happy. If you charge MSRP and get us out quickly without advertising every feature, we will be happy. Enthusiasts like us already know everything about the car. We have been doing research since 2006. We're all over this. All you have to do is charge MSRP to get us to buy.
