If it exceeds that, I'd go back to my original plan of buying a used Dodge Viper. There are PLENTY out there that you can get 2nd hand in good condition between $28-48k easy.

I don't promote Dodge like that but I'm just saying. I'd prefer to stay in Chevy family and in Camaro family and get a hold of this car.

The only sad part is its too bad the dealers will be MARKING THE HELL out of this car where nobody will be able to get it from a dealer. It'll be $48 MSRP but dealer won't let it go for anything less than $60k....

Just about everyone in year one bought a car that was marked up like crazy. The best I could do was a $3000 mark up for alleged "market adjustment"

Someday I hope I could run for a strong gov't position to put an end to that nonsense.
GT500's start at 48,810. If you think it's going to start at 48 flat then you are dreaming. It would be really awesome if I was wrong, but come on. The deck is stacked against ya. Heck, I feel like my guess is a pipedream.

For the base model, which wont be missing much anyways, that sounds very reasonable IMO. I'd say it falls somewhere in between $52-56k.

This is an interesting point. Nevertheless, the car is amazing.

I think the cage is necessary for the track run for safety reasons. If anything, it adds weight.

LOL......seriously I am still all in if the ZL1 MSRP comes in above the F products bottom line, that does not concern me one bit. You get what you pay for.

I wonder if we keep saying this will be 52k, then they will make it that.

Lol I'm hoping for no more than 47k
