Most people suggest 3.70 gears for the A6. You should also look into a transmission converter as well from what I've read.

Yea I know that a converter is in order also, also some better axles. But then again one the members ran axles in his supercharged car,,,but I'd feel better with better axles in the future

1le can get 107 mph in third which means a shift to fourth in the 1/4 around 1250 feet. ss can get 114 in third, most run 108-112 in the 1/4. with that said, I admit I have not drag raced my camaro yet, bought in June and it's hot as hades ever since. what gear are people with stock ss going across the finish line in? |

The mostly driver/rarely race guy would say do a bit more gear over the 3.27's.

So would I see any gains in the 1/4 if I were to put the 3.91s in my SS?

If there weren't so many horror stories about the Richmond gears breaking I'd go with the 4:10/4:11's....the 3:91 seems to be the gear of choice on here but some guys have the Richmond gears and love em tho

With 3.91s, a stock auto has a 1st gear ration of 15.8 and doesn't have a problem spinning 1st, 2nd and start of 3rd gear. With the amount of power he's putting down, he would never hook up.

does he even have an auto? besides, going to the track on street tires is silly and IMO for bone stock fast lists only.
