Manual or Automatic Transmission?
OK getting close to ordering time for some like me (hopefully).
Just curious if you have made a choice yet on which transmission your going to get. This is open to any buyer or potential buyer. I'm undecided at the moment and have reasons why I would pick either or. So have you decided and what swayed you in that direction?

Manual. Will be a weekend fun car and the manual will be more fun for me. I've always wanted a manual. Other perks? Should be more hp at the wheels, less weight, lower price, and probably less GG tax. Even if the auto will be faster at the track, the manual will be a challenge and I like that. The auto looks nice and I can see why some will choose it, but M6 for me, please!

Undecided for me. The new automatics are awesome..... but there is a lot of satisfaction to be had by shifting your own gears.

No this is not suppose to be which is better please we have been down that road! Just if you have decided which one and no reason needs to be given at all.

Manual. I am upping the HP on my ZL1 and I am thinking the manual will handle it better than the auto.

Manual because of the fun factor, Unless my 53 yr. old body starts to give up before the 29th.

Automatic, too many miles to drive and this will be a daily driver (16K on a 2011 SS less than 5 months old)
I also prefer having the ability to remote start my car and warm it up in the winter. I hate getting into a cold car or having to wait for the windows to defrost. No I don't have a garage, notice miles driven, I travel too much and my car sits in a parking lot, it's great to be able to start my car from hotel rooms. This is only available in the automatic so this makes it easy for me to decide. |

Manual without a doubt. Just wouldn't be the same experience for me otherwise, regardless of performance differences.

Slamming those six gears myself, I think it's more fun and I live in the country and don't do a lot of city driving.

Manual for me, course this wont be a DD. Plus heal n toe downshifting is awesome. One thing to hear a nice sounding car blip the throttle while downshifting, and its another doing the blipping yourself!
