I had mentioned in another thread I'd love to join but I am holding out for the convertible so I would only have my lowly solstice if that is OK?

To answer questions; we'll have directions at the dealership...but the address for the "farm" (cruise to) is the corner of leisie road and glade run road in renfrew, pa. (no number...)

Solstice is welcome!!! (It is GM and we LOVE GM owners...)

McBeth! I saw (and baptized) your new SS today...they were getting ready to paint the stripes..."Thor" gave him some pointers on the best way to serve "smoked mustang" and platters of "wings"... I can hardly wait to see the look on your face when you see him for the first time...

T.G. strongly believed that providing great service and reasonably priced goods to his community would benefit both the Henry Family and the community at large. In addition to selling “Gulf Gas” – “Henry’s” offered Mechanical Service, a soda fountain, miscellaneous food and drink, gifts, a stocked pond full of fish (that drew hundreds of people from nearby Pittsburgh on weekends during the great depression – all to watch the fish play “Football”…and no, we’re not kidding….) ---and, every Saturday night, an evening of Lively Music in the Dance Hall above the family business.

It sounds like a good time will be had by all but alas, I can not attend but warmly welcome the invite.
Here in the tiny town of Pewee Valley, KY is a family that runs a small engine repair shop, among other things. The brother that owns it and does the work is in his nineties. His sister is about ninety and does the books. I saw him today spraying weeds. I know I shouldn't type this, I was wondering if he was still alive just a few days ago. Well he still working.
I went into his shop for the first time over twenty years ago as he rebuilt my Kohler. I asked him what the large wooden barrel was doing up there. It was the water tower for radiators when his father ran a gas station at the site. They had built around it. Also inside, but in the back, was his grandfather's furnace when the place had been a black smith's shop before there were cars.

Love my third Camaro as much as my first one

Sorry, cant attend but it sounds like a great event you are putting on, The car owners in your area are very lucky to have dealers like you who care about the people.

It's stuff like this that I live for....just getting together, ya know?

Scott, I only wish there wasn't 1,400 miles between SA and Bakerstown or you know me...I'd be there in a heartbeat.

One of these days, we'll make a trip up there again. But this time, the SS might be in a trailer for the drive up.

Glad to know everyone's coming- please bring soft drinks or water if you can- we don't expect the out of staters to bake/make anything! We've spent a lot of time this year renovating/cleaning out the barn, hoping that my Dad, who passed in April, would have appreciated everything that's going on. It's good to party with friends and customers-we're looking forward to it,and my '67 is too!

Enjoy!!!...and please make sure to toast us forum members that would love to be there with you, but can't...:(

I'm sorry about your Dad's passing... I lost my Dad last September...I'm sure your Dad will be smiling down on all of you and "enjoying the view"...

We will be there with all of you "in spirit" and waiting for photos to be posted of the "event of the year"........
