I don't see why there shouldn't be such options available for the V6. Plenty of people I know gave me a hard time b/c the 1SS I ordered was 38K. I can't tell you how many times I heard, (and still hear), why didn't you just buy a 2SS? As if somehow the 2SS was faster.

I always reply the same way, that I do not like leather, especially the leather GM uses in the Camaro. I also don't care for the 4 pack gauges. I like the open space below the audio and HVAC which is where I put my phone. The only plus for a 2SS was the heads up display. Which even though cool, is kinda gimmicky.

It's stupid to suggest that GM should not make Recaros and performance suspension upgrades available for the V6 b/c doing so would increase the price to the level of a 1SS.... and your point is? So what if adding these things make it the same price as something else. If you were to add the 1LE upgrade to the SS it would still be more money than a V6 with those options, right? That's as dumb as saying, why add a 1LE pkge to a 1SS, you could buy a 2SS with that money?

Buy what you like.

The addition of this package to a V6 is nothing more than an overpriced dress us addition to justify a bridge to nowhere. In otherwords, having something to brag about nothing. The end does not justify the means.
I am not kidding at all. Just another proof that the V6 can use it is At the fest for the ride and drive event they had a V6 vert with the 1LE suspension and the ZL1 break kit and that thing had no body roll what's so ever and was very resposnive. The stock FE2 suspension that comes on the V6 does not handle worth a crap and has a ton of body roll. I am not talking about having the suspension for planting the power to the ground on a hard launch but for using it when you go through curves quickly. You have to remember that a V6, SS, and 1LE can all go through curves as the same exact speed the 1LE suspension will just keep it composed.

With all of this being said if a package like this where to happen they also would need to add the Brembos to the package since on the V6 you can not add the FE4 sway bars without being very close to rubbing to the breaks.

Just sayin', there are plenty of inexpensive suspension up-grades for the V-6 either after-market, SS parts new or used, sway-bars, ...whatever...Anything can be improved....

Actually I may help my V-6 buddy put on SS springs and shocks this weekend...

He doesn't really need them....Stock he's faster on auto-x than a lot of us SS guys...lol...

I would have opted for the V6 if the 1LE parts and Brembo brakes were offered from the factory at a price that corresponds relative to the $3500 premium. You don't need 426 hp to realize their benefits.

I think it would be a great thing to put the 1LE package on a V6. Some people don't care about the extra power of the V8, but would love to have the better handling.

I also would love to see the 1LE package available on the automatic SS. I would also love the extra handling, but can't get it because I am physically unable to drive a manual. I get it that it is a track package and not many would track the auto, but I would love it.

The 1LE parts are specifically designed for the SS. Something "1LE" esque to enhance the V6 may work, problem is there isn't anything yet. You can source parts from the GM counter. Just transplanting a working, singularly designed package to work specifically for a dedicated model <SS> onto a lesser platform is a waste of money. GM needs to design a suspension system tailored to your particluar application. If you want to have a suspension system that is overkill, costly for your needs, and one you won't be able to fully appreciate it's performance, by all means go for it.

Though I did say that $5500 worth of options on something like a 1LS or 1LT Camaro would be weird, but if a buyer wants it, then they should be able to get it.
I just could not imagine buying an approximately $28k car, then choosing two options totaling $5500. If one also chose MyLink and a sunroof, options would be pushing about $8k on a car that was only $28k.
That's about a 30% price increase in options! Even high priced European AMGs, Ms, and RS line models do not have such price packing into options.
GM will never do it because despite many members on here support it, the general US population will not go for that. They have the SS (and even the Z28 and ZL1) so that they can offer those benefits, while making more money off such models.

The question is would you actually want to put all of that money into a V6? If they were factory options would you pay $35k-$36k for a 2LT/1LE Camaro or $35k for a 1SS?

While I do agree with you, but if someone wants to...why not let them? Im sure chevy would sell plenty of these options on a v6.
