Anyone heard if GM to address Passenger seat - Page 5 - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Well, for my wife, she says it's okay where it is. However, I could EASILY see how this would be an issue for someone a tad bit smaller.

What is more important to me, though....is making it possible to have the drivers seat lowered by about 2 to 3 inches. Everytime I look out the window, that damn rear view mirror blocks out the right side of the window. Someone complained about that a while back...and only after time, have I come to agree with that poster. The seat is just too damn high.

I was just wondering this as well. My g/f is only 5'1 and can barely see out the front

Guess its not that important, the passenger doesnt really NEED to be able to see out the front as long as the driver can.

My wife is only 5' 3" and I know she will complain but I will just tell her to follow me wherever i go. I'm used to the complaining now .........this would give me a quieter ride.

I could not believe how low the seat is, and yes, it does need a power adjustment

while there at it, can they make the handle to adjust the P. seat just a little damn bigger, if I bend my knee I always hit is. still waiting until Christmas maybe then I can drive her car

Very thankful Jeff and I are so close: He's 5'10" and I'm 5'9" I do think I'd feel uncomfortable in this car sitting so low if I were shorter.

Order a drivers side 2SS power base ($600+), large adjustment button for drivers side, run power from drivers side, install. Bolt pattern on seat and floor appear the same. Will let you know how it goes.

I'm working on trying to make brackets to raise the seat maybe two inches?

It would ahve to be a undrill, add, drill back in fix. And it wouldnt be adjustable. But I'm talking to some guys at GM to see if they think if it would effect the chairs stability/how the airbag would effect the passanger. If they say it would be unsafe I'm not even going to show you guys the pics :(
