Word is that the angst level can decrease as rally stripes and Hurst shifters will be done at the factory

If true, this is good news. Is this info from a reliable source? I certainly would prefer my stripes to be applied at the factory.

Quite possibly, Canadian Auto Workers were actively seeking the business in plant and I think it is great that they got it.

I just emailed my dealer, hoping this is true. Now they can't mess up my black rally stripes!

If this is true, I sure hope they install the shifter with the original leather wrapped knob. (Man I hate talking about my knob in public). Seriously though, I really really want my original knob. I have emailed my dealer several times about it and was not worried because the install was going to happen there at the dealer. Now I feel like I have no control over what happens and just hope my wishes are somehow heeded.
