We need some car tunes!

I thought the title was clever! Lol

anyway, a little birdie told me that the tune is what we v6ers are waiting for. There is no software out that can manipulate an individual car like the v8. The current trifecta tune is a box tune. Which is not a bad thing, for simple bolt ons, but personally, I want a personal tune for my car when I go F/I.

So yeah, we are still waiting on software to tune our cars.

So while I wait, I'll spend my money on a corsa exhaust and long pipes. If it takes too much longer, I might have to resort to using the bottle!

with the trifecta tune, you do some data logging and u send the info back to them and they will send back a custom tune. if u have the money for a custom F/I setup they should be able to tune it.

I guess I'm a little skeptical. I've never heard of trifecta until after I bought my car and wanted to boost it. Which was a month ago. Lol I'd like for the shop that's installing my turbo to be able to tune my car right then and there. Like HPtuners.

diablo can tune it too along with LPE they just haven't released anything yet. because their isn't any gains with a tune without bolt ons. not good for sales i guess

I have my 2LT/RS tuned by Trifecta and works fine. The program also allows you to check and clear DTC's, perform CASE learn (if needed) and clear TCM adaptives. This gives to the Trifecta tune software a value added.

What all do you have on your car.

I guess for me, there is a shop willing to build a turbo and make it a kit if the cost/performance is good, but then another shop said they don't want to touch my car until a proper tune is out. And I'm being a little conservative when it comes to spending a large chunk of change.

I'm waiting to someone release a twin turbo system impressive like the Heritage Camaro done by SCAP.

If not, I think I'll start learning how to bend tubes by myself... xD

I'm one of the more mod'd V6s and have been impressed with everything I have so far. You can click the links under my signature. Trifecta has been around a very long time for GM cars and would trust them to do any of the tuning I would need. Also, Trifecta has been tuning both turbo and s/c for many different engines so I think that you could gain quite from one.

it kinda looks like you could just get a set of headers and flip flop them to do something like that

Yes, it's true. It smells like fuel. But I notice it only in closed places when parking.
