Well thanks sir! I just learned something new! I just thought they all had a 3.73 diff. This is why I like this forum, you learn something everyday!! My buddy has an auto ZL1 and he thinks it has a 3.73 diff in it. And it hasn't been swapped either.

WOW that sure is a stump pullin' first gear in the auto! Does anybody ever go into the trans and change that ratio to something along the lines of a 2.88 or so? Seems like that's a huge RPM drop from 1st to 2nd and in a drag race setup it could drop you down below your "power band".

The powerband is so wide on a ZL1 with the root supercharger making almost max torque starting at around 2500 rpm. In the performance mode 1st gear is a slingshot out the hole you are in 2nd gear before or around the 60 ft mark, the car defaults to 2nd gear starts in the standard mode.
