2011 Camaro SS with 160 miles on the clock

Ok, here's my story... I purchased a new to me 2011 SS convertible from a local dealer here in Wichita Ks. I'm trying to find out why someone would purchase a car like this and not drive it.... I contacted the previous owner who owns a speed shop called Patterson racing in Augusta Ks. They stated that they traded a collector car for the SS but never drove the Camaro. I asked the previous owner what made this car so special and never got a reply. So I'd like some opinions... What would make a 2011 Camaro SS convertible so special to a collector? First production round? If so, how can I verify this? I've got the window sticker, how can I tell when it was produced? Just looking for someone with more experience... Thanks

The nadar sticker on the inside of driver's door jam will have the production date on it.

If the previous owner was a speed shop, I would wonder if it was used for test fit or dyno work.

Interesting,

Maybe they were extremely busy. In any case, if you can send me your VIN, I would be happy to let you know the build date.

Hi uloozer,
I have a 2011. Vert with 742 total miles and its not because its just my Sunday or weekend ride, I planned on driving it a lot last summer but detached both biceps in my right arm and rotator cuff too,
Needless to say after surgery and rehab my car was in the Garage for almost a year. I traveled all this summer so again didn't
drive it much. Hoping for a great fall season so I can put some miles on her!
Enjoy and drive it as much as you possibly can!
Gio

Maybe they were going to do some speed mods, but never got around to it. It could have been one of those projects that got put on the back burner.

Just coming back from visiting family in MD. Hertrich Chevrolet still has several '12 Camaros on the lot. Plus a coupe and convertible 45th on the lot! Had some '13's and a 14 1SS vert.

A member of our local Camaro club just bought a 2010 SS coupe a few weeks ago that only had 670 miles on the OD. The car was bought by a company executive as a show car and never really driven. It is in perfect shape. So, in answer to your question, there are cars out there with low miles and you should feel lucky to have found one.

Mine is a sunny day pleasure cruiser with only 1800 miles, built April 2011. It's a pampered garage queen in between cruises. If you're lucky, yours was one too.
