Took my car to Mike Anderson for servicing...

I took it because of

1. Windows were making noises when coming down
2. second gear grind
3. wheel/brake squeak
4. Clutch squeak

They had my car for four days. During those four days all the did was replace a fuse for the power outlet. A FRIGGIN FUSE!!!!

They told me the windows noise is from the tint foil TINT FOIL!! My doors weren't even taken apart to put the foil in plus the foil is only deep enough so you can't see it. Plus I didn't know a thin foil can cause a metal clunking sound...

The transmission tech was totally clueless. He did not know what was done to the clutch prior to me trying to replicate the problem for him (They told me they lubricated it...) It was the first time he ever heard about a problem with 2nd gear grind and told me that my car shifts fine... OK...

They told me my rotors need to be serviced however that is not why my wheels are squeaking because when they drove my car my wheels didn't squeak at all according to them....

So here I am today, having my car in there for 4 days to have a fuse replaced, gears still grind, windows still make noises, and wheels still squeak. Thanks Mike Anderson, I am sure to never ever service my car there again. On top of all this they were rude enough to say "Since you have aftermarket tints we should have charged you for taking a look at all this, next time you come in with a similar situation you will have to pay out of pocket". SERIOUS?

Couple days later I take my car to Hoskins Chevrolet and a totally different experience!

They ordered a new window motor (yea tint foil my ass), heater motor, and will take a look at the squeak and 2nd gear grind in January when their transmission techs are available. They also told me that my brakes and rotors are 100% fine.

Incompetence is written all over Mike Anderson.

If I was you, I'd send this write up directly to the service manager over at this Anderson place.

I'm in contact with GM phone customer service. I called them prior to having my car serviced because I was expecting there to be issues in regards to the second gear grind. I left the customer service specialist that I was talking to a message but he never got back to me. I will follow up with him after new years once my car goes back to the dealer.

I've had my oil changed with them couple times but nothing bad...

Hopefully Hoskins fixes you up.
I feel lucky to be close to Stasek. They have been great with our two Pontiacs as well as my Camaro.
I've heard good things about stasek chevrolet but I am hoping Hoskins does things right. I haven't been at a dealership where service people are enthusiastic about the cars they work on and that's what I want.
