I had clear bra (Avery Nanofusion) put on my front facia, the mirrors, and the gills.
Cost? $900

If one ever drives on Interstate 45 in North Houston you get to the point that a flack jacket wouldn't help the front of the car. I get the GM touch up bottle out about twice a month and have gotten pretty good at it. I have to go on that God forsaken road about three or four times a month and catch a rock to the windshield each time......no cracks yet (knock on wood) but a lot of paint chips.
Had a clear bra on my Vette and it mildewed and when I had it taken off a lot of the clear coat came with it.

You had the old generation of 3M film. That is the only film out there that would mildew. the adhesivve was also very strong but it shout not have lifted the clear coat off a factory paint job. Sure youre car wasnt a respray?

I've put my own film on the front bumper end of last summer. I'll need to put some on the rear fenders and mirror this year. It's not that hard. If you do it yourself, just make sure you do your research and make sure the vendor has the best template.

It was on an 02 Vette and was probably the old school 3m film. It did lift a factory clear coat off when it was removed. Have also seen multiple bras over the years that made rub marks on the paint.
I may try a new clear bra once I get mine out of the body shop. Was in a parking lot in San Antonio last week and a pole jumped out in a parking lot and threw itself into my passenger door........wasn't going to file against my insurance because I thought " how much can it take to knock that out?".......1500 to be exact.
And the pole just stood there after throwing itself against the door.

I had the film protector put on mine. I bet you can hardly see it. It also goes on the door edges and inside the door handle grip areas to prevent ring scratching.

I had mine done when it was at Rodger's Chevrolet in Woodhaven for some other work. They sent it out to the guy that does all their Vetts.
Contact Becky Doyle at Rodger's for more info.
