You can definitely do what you want, but I've never understood the point of debadging. It always looks... stupid... to me. Why buy a car if you don't want people to know what it is?
I may modify the bowtie, but in the long run, it stays.

Does anyone know if there are aftermarket SS badges for the very front like the 69's? I like the chevy badge and think I will leave mine as is, except if a SS badge comes out for the front. Where can you get these black bowties???

Im sure this one will come out. Im not into changing but if the SS Grill comes out like this I would do it. How would they do it, would SS be silver and SS/RS be red. In Aftermarket I would imagine it could be any color. Bet your butt this will be coming out, but plan on 500-1000 for a grill since badges arent able to be popped in and out like they used to. |

I, personally, have never liked the look of a debadged car.

The only badges that I would remove are the little gm tags that they put on everything. It looks horrible to me. The rest of the badges will stay on for me.

Debadging is only cool if the factory badging looks ugly, which in the case of many BMWs, is true in my opinion. Seriously how many letters/numbers do we need to identify the car? I realize they have their own system and it works, but true BMW fans don't need to be shown the car's drivetrain (AWD/RWD), displacement and model series number to know what they're looking at. Now, a Camaro? Very identifiable, but its name is not a cryptic serries of symbols, it's a name. I say leave the Camaro badges. The GM tag has gotta go, that's some seriously stupid GM corporate skullduggery. And while I think there needs to be a bowtie up front, it could be a different color, chevy blue would be nice but wouldn't matche with all colors. And as far as the rear bowtie, Look at the summit white thread to see a pre-pro SS in white. No rear bowtie and it looks sweet, so... I guess my answer is, it depends on the car. One place we NEED a badge is on the passenger dash. I may just order a sidebadge to apply just below the dash trim, I think that would be kickass.

I'd opt for a silver "SS" on the front instead of the bowtie. Would prefer a silver or maybe platinum bowtie on the rear. Just not fond of gold on the IBM.
