First dent. Hit and run.

Somebody hit my car in the parking lot yesterday and left, leaving behind a nasty dent and a few deep paint scratches. What should I do now? I've never had this happen to me.

I want to cry for you right now. I would EFFING go nuts on a person doing that to somebody's car.

It looks like a back door was opened - like on an SUV- and they backed up.

Hope there was a camera to capture the action and you catch the person who did this!

1. Rage.
2. Depending on your deductible, either file a claim or just have it repaired independently. It doesn't look like it hit the rim (which is very good, dealing with rear end alignment issues is a bitch). It'll need to be worked out and repainted though, probably looking at better than $500 for the repair

And jesus, I think that toesuf is right, looks like an opened door. A VERY aggressive opened door. No solace in knowing they have a dinged door now too

My guess is a door as well. It looks like someone in the back seat pushed their door open REALLY hard. You can see the big mark where the door hit and then a few smaller marks that were probably made as the metal was dented in and the door scraped along it.

I have good insurance so I'm probably going to file a claim. It sucks to see that my paycheck is going to repairs rather than the lowering springs I was going to buy.

Yeah, my guess is they used their OLD 1977 Ford pickup with rusty patina and did it on purpose. Too bad. I just hope the BLEND on the entire side goes well, so the paint flecks will all glitter the same in the sun and it wont look like a repainted panel.

Check your policy, if it was intentional vandalism it should be covered under comprehensive and deductible is usually zero.
If it was a collision, then deductibles apply. That looks like a door hit with body slam force behind it.
This post is just another chapter of a long history of jealous rage, abuse and carnage directed at Camaro owners.
If you have a nice car, you can't park it unattended unfortunately.
Sign of the times, we have a whole generation raised to selfishly disrespect and avoid responsibility for their actions.
Always check You Tube and other social media outlets, someone may have filmed themselves doing this.

I cannot express how sorry I feel for you bud. Murder would be the only thing on my mind. In the end however, unfortunate scenes like this come with the territory thanks to the overabundance of retards God has blessed us with.

BUT, it is repairable bro.

that is terrible, sorry it has happened.... now, as the repairs take place, you can take some cool images of a RJT like this:

That's my nightmare. That's why I park as far away as I have to in order to get space around me. I always try to park next to another nice car if possible, and always try to put curbing on one side or the other as to only expose one side. May seem like overkill, and you can't stop all incidents, but I haven't been hit in a parking lot... well... ever. Whereas my wife seems to get hit at least once a year. She's the type that circles the parking lot 3 or 4 times trying to find the closest possible spot. And no, she is not allowed to drive the SS.
