V6 off constraint next week??

I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up here but my dealer just mentioned that the V6 is supposed to come off constraint next week. Anyone else hearing anything similar? This could be great news for all the V6 owners who have been waiting patiently. Unfortunately its stinks for me since my SS order has not been pulled yet and I have several V6’s in front of me…

To this point how reliable, straightforward and knowledgable has your dealer been with you??

He's probably just making an educated guess. I do agree with his guess though. It's likely this will be the last week of constraint on the LS/LT.

I did not here that, but I sure hope so! I was #1 at my dealership, ordered on Oct 13th 9:00am. Due to the contraints, car #4 got pulled out of 7. I was the only LT2/rs model with cyber gray (I will chg color if V6 comes off b4 CGM) My wife and daughter even suggested I change to a 1SS, other than the V8, I am getting more car with the 2LT. I will wait!!! (for now)

If those cars we had pictures of in oshawa would explain the early lift on v6 constraints, but those were all just test vehicles

I wouldn't be so sure of that...

I don't want to get anybody too excited either, but I think this information may be accurate.

Mac1,

I just placed my order with the dealer on 2/28, so I have not had a lot of experience with him, but the information he has provided so far has been very accurate.

Hey guys, my dealer hasnt had had any orders pulled yet. But every week dealers have gotten cars right, was that for March Build only, or April as well?

We got one Camaro in this consensus and it will be an April car. As for the V6 question, today in the Chevy "Hot Sheet" to dealers here is what is said about V6...

"Constraint Update: As you prepare for order submission, you need to be aware of a few ordering constraints that will impact the initial first weeks of production:

• Camaro LS and LT models (V6 models) will be very limited.
• Cyber Gray Exterior Color (code: GBV) will not be available.
• Hurst Short Throw Shifter LPO (code: VYV) will not be available.

Order for these models or options will not be processed, and steps should be taken to avoid submission of these impacted orders."

This is an obvious deviation from what we have seen Chevy saying the past few weeks, that NO V6 cars were available. Hopefully, this means the restriction is going to be lifting, maybe just slowly.

Hopeful maybe, but contradictory. I know, you're just the messenger. Thanks, Greg.

I believe we're past the March build submissions now, TJ, so you need to be looking for an April build. Did this past Friday's concensus authorize your dealer a car(s) to be submitted for production in April? If so, he will be informed on a weekly basis which Thursday - Saturday he can submit them. The timetable looks like this:

Submit-------------Build
Mar/12-14............Apr/6-10
Mar/19-21............Apr/13-17
Mar/26-28............Apr/20-24
Apr/ 2-5...............Apr/27-5/1

Then again, your order has to be #1 or #2 priority to be the first or second submitted if he hasn't submitted any yet. Check with your dealer!
