Everyone knows that mustangs aren't fast lol. There were a lot of cars that were not listed. I believe what they did was pick one car from a certain category because my top ten fastest cars for under 50k would have been much different.

You don't think the Mustang 5.0L GT is fast? It does a 1/4 mile in under 13 seconds, 0-60 in under 5 seconds, and can be purchased for 30K. I think it could have justifiably made this list.
