Thanks y'all. Ill look then up and see what they can do for me.

Though today I got an offer I can't refuse, I might be going back over the road aka "long haul" trucking. Gone 3 weeks, home 4 days kind of thing. Ill still be doing my other business, my current primary job just sucks.

Anyway, i appreciate all the info and will definitely post a thread on my adventure of the 454, though a 502 with solid cam does sound intriguing

The above statements are only true, if one were to use stock heads and cam.

If your serious about building a big block, I would recommend finding a different forum. There are a lot of knowledgeable people on corvetteforum and Chevelles .com that know big blocks.

If it were me, I would stick with the LSx platform for the camaro. My point is never underestimate a BBC. I've seen many hot, even FI, LS engines get their butt handed to them by a well built BBC.

Also thinking about buying a 2013 or 2014 Challenger SRT8, the 392 can be stroked to 447 and be a reliable DD. My ultimate goal is to have each of the big three.

A modern Camaro with a 400+ Cube engine n/a
A modern Challenger with a 447 stroker n/a
A 1967 Shelby GT500E

EDIT:
Call it a Mid Life crisis at the age of 22 lol. I guess because of all the EPA crap out there today, I want to be selfish and have one of each of the big muscle cars and keep them for a very long time. Not for them to be worth a lot of money one day, but for me to enjoy them today and in the future.

I agree
sounds great and all, but the 2012+ ECU's are locked and havent been cracked for dyno tuning yet. Thats the reason I traded my wifes in..

you also seem to be dreaming?

Having done a good handful of GM 502 crate engines in hotrods;.... 95' Impala, 87' C10, 67 Impala.. etc. they run but they are turds in today's standards. The 87' C10 we swapped the intake and did a little cam. It made something like 500 ft lbs of torque and 470 rwhp.

Oh come on, ok stock for stock? The LsX blocks are way ahead of the game sir. Can't dispute it. Lets just say 6 bolt mains

Aftermarket heads

Um I doubt the 2012+ ECUs are locked seeing as many people have already had '13 cars dyno tuned and cams swapped, things like that. Plus why would a tuner I'm south Florida tell me to bring my '13 down for when I do my cam swap to have it dyno tuned???

Also yes I am dreaming, BUT, I have the means to actually go through with it. Timing is crucial seeing as this is my daily driver. Ill need to have all the engine work done within a day, two days at the most.
