Very Patient??? Currently at 3400 Ordered Oct 13th - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Since the revealing of the proto type of the new camaro in 2006 I told myself if I have a decent job and could afford the camaro when it came out I would order one. I patiently waited and looked at the Chevy.com site every night when I got home from work until on Oct 12th 2008 it said you can order a new camaro starting October 13th. I work nights So I stayed up and went to the dealership I purchased my 2004 Silverado from. Put down a thousand dollar deposit and have been waiting ever since.

It's been nothing but delays but I have been waiting dilligently. I ordered a cyber gray metallic 2SS/RS with Black Stripes and a sunroof. Six months later I got the I have good news and bad news phone call. Well YOUR CAR WILL BE HERE IN SIX WEEKS. I asked what the bad news was and it was IF YOU CHANGE THE COLOR. I am stuck on the gray because of how beautiful it looks on the ZR1 Corvette so i stuck to my guns, and stayed with the color to have my allocation reassigned to another car because of the constraint.

To be called on mothers day w/ "great news" My order had been pulled and I would have my car in another 4-6 weeks. So I waited and went to my dealer ship today to find I am at 3400 as of June 3rd with No TPW yet. I placed the first order for a car at my dealership 3 happy SS owners and 1 V6 owner have been given there cars, 3 of which didn't order them until March. Have I been to patient. Is my luck that bad. is there a reason why Tag ur it got the first CGM car? When did he order. I'm not a jerkoff and my dealer respects me but I am starting to get frustrated. Today was the first time I acctually sat in a Camaro and it felt exhilerating not even moving. I can't wait to get mine, and believe me I'm not a patient person but I have been good so far. I would never cancel my order but "DUDE WHERES MY CAR"

I also ordered back in oct. IOM 2SS/RS with hocky and hood stripe... and still at 3000. I am number 8 at a dealer with allocations for 16. Im sure if the people running GM cared about loyal customers instead of lining thier pockets they wouldnt be in the situation they are in now... I am also being very patient and not backing out of my order, but I wont be buying any more GM products since they dont seem to care. Ive explained the whole R6P process and how GM is treating LOYAL customers with a few people in the market for cars and they get turned off of buyin a GM.

Can GM build a bad ass car? - YES!
Is it affordable? - YES!
Do they care about people that LOYALY buy thier products over and over? - Obviously not!

Listen up GM!!! Cars alone cant keep the buisness afloat, its how you treat the people that buy the cars.

same boat.... once again.. the time you placed your order means SHIT. . . the only things that matter is 1. Were there any constraints on your order. 2. What's your dealers allocation.

That's it... everything else doesn't matter.

Edit... sorry the lovely QC is a factor also.
