Yes. I purchased some Auto Sox which I have yet to use in the event it I have to travel through the Sierra Nevada mountains if it snows this season. I've never used Auto Sox before so I can't attest to their effectiveness. Still I will drive my car regardless. And if all else fails, I will spring for snow tires.

Another vote for the Blizzaks. Its one of our daily drivers although snow in the Portland area is rare. Our 2LT RS has the summer Pirellis on it so we are going to change them over anyway due to cold and rain.

only if the weather is mild like last winter, but even then if there is salt on the roads, heck no!!! will tender it and let it set rather than getting salt on it!!

I have a 1994 Chevy Silverado for the winter. Driving home at midnight with the roads being bad is dangerous in this car.

Daily driver, summer rubber on custom wheels and all seasons on the factories. I draw the line at 2-3 inches of snow, and can log into work from home. Probably would be staying home with the kids anyway since our schools tend to call it by then - too many hills (and lousy winter drivers)...

What size winter tire should I get for the heritage? not sure heard people running 245/60's and 225/60 is recommended on tire rack. dont want to have rubbing issues.

:( East coast get the worse case of salt on your Cars. When they plow the streets they back it up into your car. You basically have to dig your way out and pour hot water on your locks cause it might be frozen.

I am glad that we live in so. Texas, the winter here (most of the time) on its coldest in the mid twenties for a day or so. The following day it is not unusual to be in the 40's.
