Ed, there was a specific ideal in mind when I decided to make this build. I'm sure even you would agree that it is a money game! and at the end of the day sure when I picked the car up from the dealer I could have dropped a creat motor in it for tens of thousands of dollars and been in the 9's or even 8's. I spared no expense with this build as a complete streetable dayly driver package. The goal was to do what all the "gear heads" told me not to do. When the car was at SEMA last November the gen 5's won the hottest car of the show award. I looked at it seems like over 100 cars and there where 2 classes either all exterior mods and very little motor mods or they where 800-1000 hp monsters that lobed like a rhino on acid! Theres guys throughing ZR-1 LS-9's in them but it seem to me that they where not the complete package cars. My goal was to build something that nobody has done a true supercar out of an american clasic. And done tastefully not look like a fast and furrious prop car. Believe me I get your point. Hine sight I probably would have save some doe going the easy route. But I encourage you to look in my garage after this weekend. Then let me know what a nut I am.lol again thanks for your opion.

That is awesome Orange! I'm striving to be there. How much spray are you using and how big is the cam? Man those numbers are sick! I guess with your "cast pistons" thats pretty impressive! I'm sure even to ED. Nice man. what kind of wheels and tires are you running? I am new to Camaro 5 ( if it isn't obvious ) and I cannot seem to pull your car up? Do you have any you tube of any of your runs? Thanks again for your imput.

Because I want to go faster. Having the fastest stock L99 long block just isn't enough.

Youtube search my screne name 'OrangeChevyII'.

I was on a 200 shot with the Lg Motorsports G6x3 cam running 16" CCW wheels on a M/T drag radial. I still hold the record for the fastest Ls3 longblock car. I ran my times in the middle of the summer in the dead heat. Pump gas on the stock fuel system. It's hard to explain the power my car made and the driving technique. You'd just have to watch the videos.

Didnt your meth pump failure cause engine damage? Or was it the lifter?

I'm also running Hoosier 28'x 10 slick on her at about 13 psi. Trust when I say the is ZERO traction issues! Since then like I said the only mods I have made are. I reduced the pulley size from 3.33 to the next smallest and picked up a 1.5#'s of boost. that puts the boost output total to about 11.5psi. and the 410 richmond gears. So I hope I'm in the 10's without the 55 shot of nos. I'll let you all know monday. thanks again
BAD NEWS! We broke the brand new Richmond 410 gears on the first f-ing launch! So no unvailing this week. We be back on the track this friday. (1/21/11)It might have been a blessing though. I am going to through 373's in there. I'll keep you all posted and thanks for your patience. Lord knows I have none. lol

Keep the stock gears and run a smaller tire. The stock gears are larger in diameter and that makes everything more durable. Richmond gears suck for these cars, check with LPE, they have a custom set of 3.70.

All my E.Ts are with the stock gear, even the 5.90 passes the car made along with the 1.2x sixty foots.

None of the goals and accomplishments were made with out the help of Nitros Daves, BMR and Nano. Those three together are a force to be recon with.
