Splitter and paint? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I am looking to get a splitter after I get my taxes back. But I was wondering if I would have to get it painted? I don't want it painted to match. I want it a grayish color like the ZL1 splitter and rockers. Anyone know if there is a place to get splitters that come painted grayish, or will I be forced to get it painted after I buy?

I believe they come in a dull looking black plastic that your talking about. The ACS one does. I have been trying to find good pictures to compare painted black to match my car or the greyish black plastic. Hmmm, maybe you could get the un painted one and plasti dip it if you don't want to go through the trouble. Lol
-I wish you luck in finding a splitter for the v6 bumper that you actually like. I honestly hate all of them, but I am eventually going to get one regardless.

You ain't kidding man. They really did the V6 bogus with the front bumper at the bottom. I honestly don't like any splitter for the V6 either, but I figure any splitter will help it look a little more aggressive...

You can always platidip it. I did my acs splitter in black plasti dip and it matches the stripes and other black vinyl I have.

I guess it all depends on which brand you are looking at. I bought the SLP splitter. I comes textured in the color you are describing. I got mine through Jegs ($311.00 shipped). Here are a couple pics.

Seriously? Buy a couple cans of spray paint in rhe color of choice and have at it. Gonna get dinged up any way.

Looks great, but your car's bumper is different at the bottom so you can get a nice looking splitter!

That's what I did. Bought a used t5 sanded it down, primered, and semi gloss spray paint.
