When I was a kid, I went to the Chrysler building once and threw rocks at the door until old man Chrysler came out and chased me away.

GM of Canada sets it's own MSRP based on what they think Canadians would be willing to pay. The fact that the US/CDN dollars are basically at par makes no difference.

Hey everyone, yeah I'm probably going to try and sell it myself seeing as the prices I've been seeing for an LT, without all the features and in worse condition then my car sells for about the same.

If the dealer doesn't give a better offer i'll probably stick with my V6 or sell myself.

just went on both GM sites to price out exact same car, heres what i got.

On GM Canada MSRP on a 2LT, GFX, sunroof, RS , Automatic for $40,335.
according to VMRCanada.com wholesale $25,550

On GM US MSRP on a 2LT, GFX, sunroof, RS, Automatic for $34,025.
NADA site clean trade in $24,800

Got my car in Feb 2010 , 3 months and 2000 miles later i tried to trade in , didnt like automatic and wanted manual, i paid $36,900 they wanted to give me $31,000 , it was 2SS with auto, sunroof and RS. i didnt want to take the loss so i kept it.

yeah I think I've decided what i'll do. Sell here in Canada and buy in the US. Will probably save a'lot going that route. When I bought my 2LT I literally bought every single option, maybe thats what it came out to be so expensive. Really wishing I went with the 2SS to begin with..

Sounds like a great idea, the only flaw is that you cannot buy a new car in the US and export it to Canada.

It can be done. All you need is a US. address. GM Canada will not honor the warranty unless the car is at least 6 months old and X number of miles on it (protects the interests of Canadian dealerships).
