Sold the Z this weekend....

So, I bought my z/28 just a few weeks ago and, due to continually crappy weather and my work travel schedule, I had put about 800 miles on it since I bought it. This weekend, I took it to a local cruise-in and started talking to a guy who said he has been trying to get into one, but couldn't find a dealer within 500 miles who had what he wanted that didn't want an ADM.

I jokingly said I would sell him mine, and after I realized he was serious about buying it, I started haggling on a price. Well, this morning we met at the bank and he drove away in his slightly-driven, new to him z/28. I told him about this site, so if you get a new member from Manchester, TN posting up about his recently purchased black z/28, you'll know where he got it!

Of course, now that the z is gone, waiting for the delivery of my GT350's is going to be torture.

So,...did you sell the Z28 because of work, or did you sell it to get the GT350? Or a little both.
The GT350 is going to be beast! Good luck!

Some people weren't meant for the Z/28.

Perception check here. You're buying a GT350 and a GT350R but sold a new Z/28 weeks after paying 7% sales tax to a guy who couldn't find one without ADM although there is a black and white one below MSRP in your area... because the weather is bad and you have no time to drive it?

Hey, that was what the guy told me. If there are currently new z/28's being offered below MSRP, then he did a poor job checking around, it seems. I did not sell it because of weather or no time to drive it, I sold it because I had the chance to do so for a price I was comfortable with.

As someone already noted, I was not attached to the car at all. While it is an awesome vehicle, I never really enjoyed driving the car as much as I thought I would. Fortunately, I am in the financial position to go in and out of cars as I choose, and for the most part, that is what I have done for the past several years. While I understand that sales tax on a car like the z might be significant money "wasted" to many, it was really not a big deal in my situation.

The guy who bought it was from Manchester, not Murfreesboro, but depending on where you live, I guess it's not too far from you. i'll PM you more info.

The GT350 is going to be bad ass! I'm thinking of getting one myself but I'm on the fence. Keep in touch and let us know!
