Quick Rant

I am unhappy that they are bundling HID's with the RS package. The darker wheels aren't my thing nor do I car about darker tailights, if I wanted them that would be a very easy swap, so would the wheels for that matter. Roof rails??? Does anyone actually car about that? If you did another easy mod. BUT BUT BUT, HID's are usually not an easy upgrade.

I think its stupid they didn't make the HID's a la carte. I think a large number of buyers foregoing the RS package would still gladly tick that option box.

Good luck with your rant.

if this was 1969, that would be a no-brainer, but it ain't... nowadays, they offer option packages to offer a 'best guess' of what common options people would order together. it makes production much easier & more cost-effective, and quality control goes much faster (bringing us our cars quicker)

I would just get the halos as well... the only reason im getting the rs pack is for those

The wheels i will be selling since im going aftermarket, dark tail lights dont matter since im getting them smoked anyways and i dont really care about the roof ditch and thats easy to get painted anyway

You can still get the RS package and different wheelsd (ex: polished, dealer 21", or just go aftermarket)

If you don't get the RS package, I wonder how difficult it's going to be to "do-it-yourself" install a set of the RS package HID lights. I can imagine it won't be all that simple.

I'm not talking about aftermarket, I mean the OEM RS HID's.

Well it's a package... Personally, the only thing that I particularly wanted from the late '60s RS package was the hideaways. Couldn't care less about the placement of the parking and reverse lights. Seems like a similar situation now. I want the HIDs (specifically the halos), so I'll get the RS package. It's just a bonus for me that the tail light lenses look a little cooler.

You are right, though. I don't care about body color matched ditch molding. It's black on my blue G35 and I think it looks fine.
