I was just thinking wishing there was on awesome commercial though. Until sales drop well have to rely on the Challenger commercials.

This is one of the best commercials I've ever seen. I don't think it would hurt Chevy to do something like this.

While checking for commercials on youtube, I found some independently filmed footage. TBH, I change channels on TV commercials but ill watch youtube clips. Something for GM marketing to consider.

That's why it doesn't need a commercial. Camaros are awesome.

Turning off the caps lock is as well.

The Japanese motorcycle companies were taught a lesson by the do-gooders in the mid 1980's. Honda had an add for the V-65 Magna featuring drag racer Jay Gleason doing a smokey burnout and Yamaha had one with a guy on a V-Max doing a burnout in a car hop and making the skating waitress drop her tray. Kawasaki had an add for the 1986 ZX 1000R Ninja (of which I owned 2) telling you that they would give you a needed change of underwear if you bought this bike. Suzuki had a Hayabusa pass between two Mercedes Benzes that were going 250 KPH on the Autobahn. This brought out the "news magazines" that paraded all the young kids in wheel chairs that were hurt by these evil machines. The US Congress tried to pass laws outlawing these bikes but the American Motorcyclist Association was able to fend them off. THe Germans forced Suzuki and the other three manufacturers to limit the bikes to 187 MPH. Chevrolet is not going to show a lurid burnout on TV and have a bunch of safetycrats breathing down their necks. You will not see a Camaro dragging a Mustang on TV. If anything, you will see them touting gas mileage and safety features. We are witnessing the *****fication of America.

TV marketing is not what it used to be - like others have said - most people change channels....Though, if they really wanted to run ads they are better off using the net or social networking sites where people pay more attention....

I think they are doing it right for now though - word of mouth sells more then a TV ad - ads tell you what they WANT you to think and most of us know it's usually a load of crap (or are wary of claims in ads). Seeing these cars on the road and talking to REAL people that have them and love them - that sells more then any commercial....
When you can see the passion in someone's face because they are talking about something the love - that out ranks any amount of TV ads or money spent on them....

I'm sure they will up the marketing though when sales slow. Right now, they don't need to spend the money - they have the best marketing out there and it's FREE (yes, I mean all of us)

You may be onto something with the gas mileage comment. How many commercials have you seen for the new Mustang that mention the V-8? I have only seen the one for the V-6 and it's claim to fuel economy. I know the V-6 get's better fuel economy, and I know it's no slouch of a motor, but considering my 2SS get's 17mpg in town, and 24mpg on the highway, you couldn't give me the V-6 Camaro (or Mustang).

There's a button on the left side of your keyboard, it says 'caps lock' on it. Hit it once.

Anyway...
Mustang sales spiked because people were waiting for the 5.0 to come out.

I remember that camaro commercial back in the '90s when the kids were having a pajama party and the one kid was guessing what was driving down the road just by listening. I think he said something like, "A 275 horse power candy apple red Z28". Anyway, it was a cool ad.

Going way back.............Pontiac had the greatest GTO commercials!

GM had all those great Woodward posters...
"We don't build Challengers, we build champions"
"Heaven couldn't handle all the noise"
"When you're really good in a past life, you come back as yourself"

They would have made great commercial tag lines.
