05-09 Mustang GT is a mid to high 13 car. It would beat a V6 Camaro convincingly.

The GT "only" has 300 hp, but peak horsepower tells a very incomplete story. You have to look at the whole curve. The V6 Camaro power peak comes right at red line, and it is a steep hike up to it. The 3v 4.6L doesn't so much have a power peak, but more of a plateau. It makes at least 295 over a wide range from about 5000 to 6000 RPM.

What about a 4th gen ss versus v6 stock.

Or to help answer my argument with my buddy a 2013 ls v6 with a K&N 69 air intake and RX catch can with 2000 miles on it versus a stock 2001 ss 88000 miles on it.

The Ford GT isn't a Mustang at all. As ford V8 Mustangs there are several over the years: Mach 1, GT, Cobra, GT500, GT350, Bullitt, Boss, LX, etc. Newer bodystyle you'd be looking at the GT and GT500.

4th gen Camaros were a LOT faster than Mustangs of the time. Some did 12s stock or low 13s. Wouldn't be very close unless you had the turd auto without a stall or tune vs a full bolton v6 and I still doubt the V6 would win.

Give it to the ss on this one. Although it may be closer with the mileage on the ss if it wasn't well taken care of

My friend has an LS1 Trans Am with 170k on it... it's in pristine shape and runs great. It's surprising what a good owner can do for a car.

An LS1 4th gen vs a 5th gen V6 would be an even bigger blowout. LS1 had 340-350hp, at least 80 ft-lbs more than the V6, and was way lighter.

A 5sp is good for a low 14...even a 13.8-13.9 at best. Again, equal driving skills and the 99-04 Mustang GT will win.

True...the "Ford GT" is actually a supercar. It costed over $140,000 and was produced from 2004-2006 with a mid engine 5.4 DOHC supercharged engine that made about 550 hp. That car was good for mid 11s bone stock.

Lmao those 2v are all POS slow pathetic and should be stripped of any "muscle car" pretentions that ever came with it.... There were 3 last Friday with bolt ons and skinnys in front, slicks in back running 14's @ 93-97 mph ahahahah. An Accord from 10 years ago will walk one on the highway and they put less power to the ground then an accord of the same year

You are out of your mind. If they ran that slow then it was the driver's fault. And you are simply crazy if you think an Accord will "walk" or even keep up with one on ANY road. There are bone stock 5 speed New Edge GTs that run low 13s on slicks out here in NJ. A cam and slicks will propel a 5 speed into the 12s. You seem to have a lot of false knowledge about a lot of cars man...
