2013 Hemi 6.4 vs SS A6 with mods

My SS a6 229/236 112 cam, MAST milled heads 11.1 compression, with all bolt ons, tuned,

WHILE DRIVIG ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH

Would a 2013, 6.4 Hemi 470hp and 470tq be able to slowly walk away from me?

just wondering because that did happen and I'm trying to figure out if my car is not performing at full potential. Also the dodge was a lime green super bee possiblly it was not a 6.4 but rather supercharged which would explain why it had the ability to slowly walk away. Anyones guess right

Hard to tell based on your mods without a dyno sheet but with a cam/heads/bolt ons I would imagine you would be quicker at those speeds on the track.

I can tell you the Super Bee is an SRT w/ the 6.4. It is also the stripper model so it is lighter than most SRT's (still heavy though) It also only comes with an automatic and the Nag1 has a very aggressive kick down.

Car and Driver did 0-60 in 4.2. The ZL1 they tested did 4.1 for comparison. (although the ZL1 has gone faster in other magazines.)

I read that the 392 Challenger has a top speed of well over 180-mph, in a comparison it was 3-mph slower than the ZL1 in a high speed run.

http://www.hotrod.com/feature_storie...jave_mile.html

That being said my 392 A5 was an absolute monster from a roll, as it was in the 1/4 bone stock. So yes I have no problem with your results.

This needs further clarification... You say it was a SuperBee so we know it was a Charger. Next you say it was lime green... The only sublime Charger was the 2007 Charger Daytona and that had the pre-Eagle 5.7L Hemi (350HP).

More than likey he was heavily modded as well.

It was a confusing post sorry about that. I mentioned the color because i was unable to find what year the lime green chargers were out to find engine specs. The only stock charger i could find that might walk away was the 2013 6.4. Even so it's an open question, because like you said he was probably heavily modded. So i understand. Anyway my car is a guess too, might dyno 435 - 440 rwhp. It's not super fast, but clearly faster than stock!!! At stock my L99 hp was sad. I had to mod!!!!!!... even after headers, cat back, cai, tune it still really didn't have a huge impact. So it was either a supercharger to get big jump in hp & tq or a cam less hp and tq but a nice sound and an increase in HP. I went for the cam first, and am very happy sounds amazing possiblly sets it up for a supercharger later. not sure with milled heads.

Its sumwhat funny how people call the new dodge heavy when the new camaro, although nice, has a fat ass as well.

So since it's a difference of 3 to 400lbs between the three, wouldn't they all be considered fat?

So many questions here:

Was it a charger or a challenger? The 392 comes in both. (2011+ challengers, 2012 plus chargers as there was no SRT in 2011 MY chargers)

If it was a green challenger, then chances are you ran across a 2011 Green With Envy Challenger SRT8(6.4 hemi).
There's also a green with envy RT classic challenger that made it's appearance in 2011 as well.

But with you saying superbee, that would have to be a charger, but they never made a SRT8 charger in green with envy.

No freaking way a h/c camaro is getting walked by a stock 392! That's just rediculous to even think that! My cam only car just walked a CTS Z coupe today, pretty sure my money would be in the V taking a 392.

4 door Charger. Obviously I'm still learning, thanks for not slamin on me. I'm trying to get an understanding of what my SS is capable of. my dyno sheet the numbers a were 463 rwhp 426 rwtq, which seems slightly high. With a 229/236 cam 112 lsa, mast heads milled to 11.1 compression, full bolt ons and a 3.70 eaton posi, 3200 circle D triple stall

I'm pretty sure that my stock 392 Challenger could have pulled my cammed Camaro in a roll race. If not it would have been neck and neck.

Lol my stock ls1 camaro traps more than your 392 did stock. Not that fast.

A heads/cam FBO L99 like yours should trap 117-120 and put down 450-480 whp.

We are not talking 1/4 mile here. What happens after the 117-mph? The Challenger is still pulling hard the Camaro not so much so.

So your stock LS1 ran quicker than 12:40s bone stock?

Not gonna happen. My car on the top end pulls better then it does down low, I have stayed door to door with a 600hp 4th gen at high speed. With th400 it's even faster in 3rd now, might top out at 150-160 but its not getting walked by no 392. Op what ever you raced I am pretty sure was not stock bud!

Newmoon, I know we shared some of the same issues. But we seemed to have problematic transmissions, I would not consider ether of are cars running proper at the time.
