It sucks to lose the car that you took such good care of. Exact same thing happened to me. I got tboned in my 1lt RS and it turned out to be a write-off. I got good money from the insurance and upgraded to a new 2SS. Best thing that ever happened! Same as you my accident happened with my winter wheels on and my 20 inch wheels at home. Which means the insurance got my 18 inch rims and I have a sweet set of 20" RS wheels for my winters tires now too! Be thankful you're ok and now have the opportunity to upgrade. Happy shopping.

I'm sorry to hear that your car was wrecked. however I just ran across a post from
Tricksta that is saying that GM is having a 20% off on new 2014 camaro's. Just a thought.

It's crazy how things work out sometimes. I bought my 2012 Camaro on New Year's Eve 2012, and it was totaled December 15th 2014. We ended up buying a 2014 Camaro exactly two years later on New Year's Eve to replace it. I didn't pick the car up until last week, but it's home now. It's silver with a black top just like my old one, but thanks to a very fair settlement from the insurance company and the 20% off rebate I was able to upgrade to an SS!

I just bought the same car but in 2LT rather than 2SS.

The new ride is gorgeous. Happy that everything worked out so well for you. You've got a new toy to baby.... With a fresh warranty! Hope your sore neck has cleared up too!
Cheers!

Nice come up!!! sweet ride and glad you good from that wreck.
I would not fix it if I had the choice best to total it out. I dont think it would ever be right. Are you going to add rally stripes to your new ride?

That's a nice ride... Good job on the new car.
I kept look at those pictures from your wreck. Your old camaro still held up well. I know you're glad no one was hurt.

Thanks for the great responses everybody! I'm definitely excited to try out those extra cylinders once I get some winter tires on it. I'm going to put stripes on it in spring. I probably won't go with the anniversary type stripes I had on my last car, but I do want to go with something red and black in memory of the old car. It served me well.
