That's right! If you want a star on your paper, don't show up with the "gritmobile"!

Yes I did use the wide blue painters tape to mask off the stripes. I went a 1/4 inch onto the paint. I then ran the PC right up to the tape and in btwn the strips on the paint as well. If you need to get swirls out of the last little bit up to the strips I would do so by hand, don't want to risk having the PC lift a stripe because if it does the stripe will never stick back down. (of course they could the excuse needed to have the stripes painted on) |

Can you put the Buttery Wax right on the stripes too or is that not recommended?

The only thing that I will ever recommend for the stripes is the Adam's Clear Polish. I know for a fact that it won't turn white over time like some waxes can.

If you want your strips to be glossy, that stuff will probably do it. From the factory, the stripes come flat black with a slight luster and that's the appearance I try and keep them at. It's totally a preference thing but like I said before, some stuff acts negatively with the vinyl stripes. I see this at all the big shows I attend from the Fords and GM's to the Chrysler's. The stripes are picky about what is used on them over time.
