Chevy announces $500. Hurricane "Sandy" bonus cash

N.J., N.Y., Conn. Take delivery by 1/2/13. Must present insurance claim form stating vehicle was damaged by "Sandy". This $500. is on top of current offers. Don't know if it applies to cars ordered now and delivered after 1/2/'13.

Im one the first to trash GM on the customer service area, I think the service after the sale is abysmal....

But why is everyone trashing the $500? its on top of the other rebates, often rebates cant be used together...I think its great that they are even doing it.

This is a win for GM in my opinion.

I have bought both, in fact I traded an F150 in for the camaro....Dodge had too many issues with the trucks themselves for me to trust them again i think, both times i bought dodge were a nightmare... I'm not one of those dumb a$$'s who state only Chevy, or only Ford for me type things, I want to buy the best product I can for what I want it for no matter who sells that product..

Ford had some issues, but they never aggressively sought to deny repairs remotely close to the way GM does, and they are way more active with the dealerships than GM, every complaint I've read or done, GM replies basically that's between you and the dealership, we don't run them......That my friend has to be the worst customer service decision in the history of car manufacturers, the dealership is the face of the company. You may not own the dealership but what they do to the customers is seen as what GM does to their customers.


Ford in no way is an angel, but this is a comparison issue, and the service after the sale is far superior to GM's.....heck, I still get emails from Ford and the dealer asking me how things are going and can they do anything.

want to know what I've gotten from GM? the Fuel thing that's just a big PR sheet about how awesome they are at racing, not that you dare race with your car, cause that voids the warranty.....


So yes, while Ford isn't without blemishes, they do a heck of a lot more after the sale than GM even pretends to....

So they want to take care of their customers, but only if enough people are paying attention. I guess this is why people feel that they need to hide recording devices in their cars when they go in for service, and go to youtube first, and GM customer service second when there are problems.

The weather damaged by Oldsmobile once too, so shouldn't I qualify? Or is it only when the event makes the news?
