Hello Camaro5! Can I get a 1SS under 30k?

I've been going back and fourth between a new 5.0 and a 1SS camaro, a friend told me about this site so thought I would drop in.

I'd like to get a *NEW* 1SS under 30K, is this possible? I've talked to a few ford dealers and found one that will sell it to me under invoice, 3.73's with brembo package and it would be around 28k OTD. The local chevy dealer here only carries automatics so I haven't dropped in.

If I could get a 1SS for around the same price I would love to jump on it! Oh, would also love to get the Boston system if available but that's an extra $400 or so... lol

I am going to say your chances are slim, it's going to msrp at $31,920.00 with no options so as soon as you add tax, title and reg you won'tbe able to get otd under 30k, nevermind 28k. Maybe you can find a left over new 2010, good luck and happy hunting.

Edmunds lists the invoice at $29,827 - Any dealers in CA wanting to sell below that?

I agree find a leftover new 2010. I got a 2SS/RS for $30,995.00 back in March.

A 2ss/rs does not cost 41k. More like 35-38k depending on options.

30k is possible but 28 is highly doubtful. I got my 2011 1SS/RS/A6 with factory stripes, premium boston audio, premium floor mats , trunk mat & dealer tint for $34,240. Keep in mind i have about $3,500 in options.

Was this OTD or before TT&T?

of course you can you just have to shop around and be persistant. dealers are like sharks and and a snake all in one. be confident, know what you want and have your facts straight before going in.

I could of walked away with 1ss 2011 brand new for 28k. this was in january. dont let anyone tell you that you cant have it under 30k. plus its over for 2011 which mean alot of dealers will give good deals for 2011 to make room for 2012.

good luck and dont overpay. a 5.0 is something to def consider also.

You guys must have some good dealers in your area. Around here, a 1LT RS is in the 27-28K range. I think I saw a used 1SS listed for around 31K, but it was not an RS. IMO, you gotta get the RS package.
