In my mind performance mods decrease value.

I copes very well.

When in metric mode, I go 100 KM/h
and the needle points at 100

when in U.S. mode, I go 60 MPH
and the needle points at 60.

I think you are all missing the point. What he means is if he likes to drive in km/h, the max the gages will register is 200. So driving in in metric mode, you have no idea how fast you are going once you pass 200km/h. It is impossible to register 250km/h even though the car is capable of that as the gage font only goes to 200. So once you pass 200km/h (120mph) you must switch to imperial as the needle will be "buried"
That is the complaint with Canadians buying US cars as we are in metric as well.
I'm not sure if anyone can chime in, but maybe a Canadian gauge cluster can be installed plug and play?

good call,
I was referring just to the gages, but you are right, the digital HUD will display more. And at that speed you should be looking up!!!!!

The only thing I can add is in the 3+ years that I have owned a 5th gen Camaro, I don't remember ever using the analog speedo. Between the DIC on the SS and the hud on the ZL1, there was never a need for it. After driving one, you may find that you won't use the analog speedo and at that point it really won't matter.

That's fine, but why screw up someone else's sale? Sometimes it's better to keep your opinion to your self.

I would consider selling mine. I'll deliver it to Dallas right after Camarofest. Triple black and possibly the fastest ZL1 on C5.

+1. I don't think I've even looked at the analog tach either. Even at the track I have aeroforce gauges I've programmed the red warning led's to flash at 6500 rpm for a shift light

Where? I just bought mine with 58200 out the door. That is about the best price in Dallas. It was 54100, without ttl. Dealers here are not negotiating that much. I looked everywhere too.

Wow lots of answers since I last visited the forum. I've been busy with moving from Sweden to the states, and I am now located temporary in an apartment at Firewheel in Garland.

I am still looking for a Camaro. Not sure still if ZL1 is the car for me, reason being that it might be harder to sell off once I decide to go back to Sweden. It is not sure that I will be allowed to bring it back with me without having to pay taxes... Still working on that question with customs in Sweden.

So for now I am open for both SS and ZL1.

How big is the second-hand market for ZL1's? Is it easy to get it sold? (Considering the piece is in good shape with decent mileage etc. ofc).
