[PICS] Modding like crazy!
Things have been moving quickly with this car This is my second Z, so I had a pretty good plan of where I wanted to go with this car. I'm nearly done with the appearance mods, and have also completed the bulk of the performance mods. I'm still up in the air if I want to add a cam next spring, but that'll be the extent of the performance mods.
I'll just go over the major things I've done the past month or two. I installed Apex/Pfadt lowering springs, and painted the brake calipers with the G2 Brake Paint kit, and installed white Brembo decals from eBay. I also painted both brake rotors, as well as those damn TPMS satin black. I added black lugnuts as well. I tinted the windows 15% all around, and removed the Camaro fender badge. I added the Showstopper side markers, and painted all the ZL1 badges and tail light bezels satin black. In terms of performance, I kept it short and sweet. Kooks headers with HF cats and a RotoFab CAI from Tyler @JDP. 2.4 upper pulley, VMAX ported throttle body, ported snout and new solid isolater, injectors, plugs, Tstat and a few other bits netted 606rwhp. I was unhappy with the sound of the exhaust (I'm one of the few NPP haters) It got even crappier sounding with the headers, so I installed the Magnaflow resonated X Pipe to keep some of the rasp down. The volume is now between stock and flaps open on a stock car, but smoother and much less raspy. Without the loud ass exhaust, it helps me hear the blower white better I'm working on getting a video soon. The mic on my Nexus 5 phone just pics up static apparently Lastly, back to the G2 caliper paint kit... I got a price to get my calipers powdercoated bright red, and man, that was some sticker shock! I figured I'd try this kit for $35, and if it turned out bad, well I'd just go ahead and powdercoat them anyways. But I really can't speak highly enough about this kit. I painted everything with a 1" foam brush, and the results are just spectacular. Literally, not a single brush stroke can be seem, and the self-leveling paint smooths out just like you think it should. My camera didn't handle the contrast that well of the white car and black wheels, but this will give you some up close shots of the finish...amazing!

Looks good, I have my Civic's calipers painted with this and after a year they are starting to chip in random places. This is with a clear coat on top of it all and it cured for 7 days with no driving. Hope your's stay in good shape =)

Car looks great!
I did some calipers in red with the same paint and they looked perfect after two winters. As long as you prepped the caliper correctly they should hold up well.

I need to remove those CAMARO badges on the wings. They're not attractive and they're a pain to detail around.

Like the stance with the drop. I still have my Pfat springs that I haven't put on yet. Still deciding on if I should or not. Like the calips too.

Did you need 1 or 2 paint kits to cover the 4 calipers?
