It is time to turn this thing up and really see what it can do

About the license thing... I really didn't know we would be shooting for under 10 seconds until the car ran 10.06 at C5F3 last year. I was new to drag racing and knew I needed to make some passes to get the NHRA comp license, but I really wasn't aware of the physical requirement until it was too late. D'oh! I asked my doctor. He said no. That's life. I moved on.

I can still drive the car at the track if we tune it to make sub 10 second passes. I can still drive it on the street and to car shows (and I will). Right now, however, we are getting ready to compete at the LSX events this year. I want to see what it can really do, then maybe we will tinker with the tune to make it suitable for me to drive it at a later time.

I keep the interior as stock looking as I can because I want to show it as well as race it. We may take out the back seat eventually. I already sold my subwoofers and we took out the air conditioner out this spring. I like the idea of having a really fast car that can still be a street car incognito.

I'm actually very happy with the car and I'm having fun with it. That's what matters to me.
The most important thing is too be happy, and if you are happy that's all that matters. My heart just sank when I read that after all this work, you wouldn't be cleared to race it on your own in competition.

The build hit a certain point where it went from lots of money and pretty stout street car, to huge money and the scope of the build really exploded... it's funny how we always start modding telling ourselves only a few parts, this is where I want to be, and over time that goes out the window once the mod bug bites.
