1968 Camaro, Alarm, kill switch, security??????

I have a 1968 driver and I am worried about theft. Who has recommendation about theft prevention? Is there a way to secure the hood? Recommendations for kill switch locations? Alarm brands and features? Ways to prevent towing? Thanks Z1.

1. When you shut the car off, pop the hood and remove the short coil wire.

2. You could also run a small wire from your starter to a toggle swich hidden somewhere in the interior, so you can disable the car from being started whenever you feel like it. You can make a toggle switch for the ignition as well, but you want to make sure it is out of reach/sight, so you don't accidentally trip it while the car is running.

3. Pull a fuse or 2 after you shut it off, for any ignition related items.

All of these can be overcome by a VERY competent thief, but most likely, they will move on and not try to diagnos the problem.

you will never get it to be untowable. period.

kil switch hidden will work. but dont put it under the dash or under the glove box everyone does that. and most theives know where to look. i would get a decent alarm and have them install all the things needed. just go to a good stereo alarm shop around you and let them know what you need. or actually go to one far away sothe person doesnt know where you are from that installs it

Do you have a good lock for the glove box? Put a kill switch in there
Or, if you want to be a pain, put on in the trunk.
