I have to still do this myself but not until I get the cam working first.

Also have to do door locks which means ill be uninstalling and reinstalling since I skipped that part. I was just anxious to see Mylink in action and I still require parts for the door locks.

I just noticed that I used bad wires to connect my cameras power too as my driver side halo doesn't turn on with DRL, only does in parking light.

MyLink done, frameless mirror done, as a note if you are doing the frameless mirror and the MyLink read the mirror PDF before putting back the 4pack and put in the connector for the mirror between the 4 pack connector and the cars connector. If you don't do it then, you get to have the experience of takeing the 4 pack out again. I still have to tackle the back up cam not working, but still glad I took the time for the my link install. Here a pic of the 2010 MyLink frameless mirror install.Name: image.jpg

This is what I did, makes the red wire up by the fuse panel useless since you're getting power from the reverse lights, just make sure you tape it up. Ground is still the black wire grounded near the fuse panel.

Is it imperative to do driver and passenger side?

I did both on driver side and I am having light issues funny enough non related to tail lights though.

Though I believe my issues predate my Mylink install.

Can you explain this a little better?

Yes, I'm also curious whether / why it's imperative to tap ground to the taillight harness on one side (passenger) and to power on the other (driver) side. (And thanks for the PDF!)

Mine does not do this, ever. Wonder why....

Mylink Install

If I'm lucky the HUD will display reading USB and all is good. If not then not only do I not see any songs, but I do not get to see who is calling or if I change the source to Radio I don't see the station information.

Is this something that all MyLink owners are experiencing? I'm also having other HUD display issues, post-MyLink install. Like not showing anything other than the general car stuff. Still working on what I can do to remedy the issue. Pretty frustrating though.

They go in pretty far. Further than you'd guess.

I talked to ofer this week on my issue with the mylink not powering on. I can hear static from radio and the flashers come on but no screen or faceplate lighting. The faceplate was bought new. oh and I tripled check all wires and have power coming off of white amp wire. So question, is my faceplate getting power by the hazards coming on or are the hazards powered on by another source? And any suggestions would be helpful in the mean time. Thanks
