Auto to 6 speed..o the regret

I seriously regret not originally purchasing the 6 speed and now that i have my automatic it sounds a little ridiculous but i was wondering if at all possible how much it would cost to convert it over to the 6 speed manual. Has it been done before and what all would be required? Please dont flame me for this i now see the flaw I made and would like to change it

Cost wise... its most likely cheaper to bite the bullet and trade it in for the manual. Im starting to wish I had gotten the Manual but i dunno, something about the auto that is keeping me with it.

Isn't it the same engine i thought that the difference between the L99 and the LS3 was only the 2 cylinder cutoff for more fuel economy

I wanted to do an M6 swap on my Corvette. Even bought the tranny and all the parts to go with it. After all of this I could not find ANY company within tri state area that wanted to do the job no matter the cost.....so much for a bad economy.

Don't know what style or options you have, or how many miles, but go to your dealer & see what kind of a "swap" deal he would do for you. Your options & miles will have a big effect on what kind of deal you get. In fact, you could try many dealers & see what you can work out. Good luck!

Run an ad to swap with someone who regrets getting the M6. What don't you like about the A6?

The L99 also has lower compression ratio, the ECM will also not be for the manual transmission.

If you replace the transmission you should also tune AFM out. It requires a torque converter to ease the shock of instantly doubling the power and torque from an engine.

Find a tuner who is good at tuning A6's. It'll be a lot more enjoyable.

If not, I'd just trade it in...it's gonna be an expensive swap.

i test drove both manual and auto, for me the auto is more enjoyable for cruising. dont care to race much and have added some modes to up performace, this is one hell of a car either way.
