Thanks From Mike Judge ( Super60 ) But not Good-Bye

Camaro Family

Will i guess it was time to finally comment on the recent announcement regarding the re-location from Oshawa to Lansing . First off i want to congratulate the Lansing Grand River Assembly Team i know they will do a fantastic job on the new 6thGen Camaro they have done great work in getting the CTS and ATS to market , and with the addition of Camaro in the 2015-16 time-frame i'm confident they'll pull the job off without a hitch .

In the meantime , all of us here in Oshawa will continue to build world class Camaro's , Cadillac's, Buick's & Impala's

We can proudly say to everyone , that we were part of the great re-birth of the 5thGen Camaro I think i can speak for most here , that we put our heart and soul into getting this car built right , and strived to make it a world class vehicle , and i can honestly say that job was accomplished .

I have been involved with the Camaro since pre-production and its been an honor to help build your vehicles from stamping to final roll-off , i have made life long friends right across North America and always look forward to meeting new Camaro owners .

In closing , we here in Oshawa will continue to build your 5thGens right to the end with pride and the knowledge that Lansing Grand River will take our Camaro torch and continue the long tradition of building world class vehicles .

I once again Thank all of you for supporting GM and Team Camaro over the years

Merry Christmas to all of you and your families , from all of us here in Oshawa Warm Regards from Canada .

Mike Judge

Mike.

You are good people, my friend!

I'm also proud of Oshawa's role in the rebirth of the Camaro...It's awesome that members of the production plant played such a role in the enthusiast's world!

I've no doubts you'll continue to put out awesome Camaros - and when the time does come...you'll move on, but not be forgotten, and turn out some Awesome other vehicles.

Whether or not Lansing does a good job with the car (for the record, I'm sure they will)...this news was a loss for Camaro. The Oshawa family is wonderful!!

Thank you ALL, for your hard work and dedication!

Should we be reading between the lines , that maybe in another 4/6 years the Lansing plant will be saying good bye to the camaro , and the new assembly place will be farther South , Mexico , where they do the transmissions now ?

Not unless Alpha production goes to Mexico (it's not).

I'd say that's more like trying to read the unwritten sequel than between any lines about Lansing.

Mike.

As i said in the other post about this news....

Quote:
Can we stop shouting about the sky falling? LGR will do a GREAT job with 6thGen Camaro! Oshawa team members will always be part of our camaro family and will always be appreciated for everything they are doing and have done for Camaro.... Without them, 5th Gen and Camaro's entire revival may not have succeeded or even happened.

Mike Judge and Oshawa Team, THANK YOU! Keep up the good work thru 5th Gen End of Production..... LGR... hopefully we will see some new faces on the forums to show us just how much your team is committed to continuing the success our neighbors to the north have started for you. Know you have big shoes to fill, us camaro people are nuts (i speak for everyone...not just me) We have high demands and expect nothing short of amazing.

Hope to see you stick around even after 5th Gen End of Production.... I know the Oshawa team is like family on this board.

Mike you have always gone above and beyond what anyone could have expected. The people of Oshawa have always been close to the Camaro since it's rebirth and they are part of the reason why it has been so successful.

Thank you for everything you have done for us over the years and thank you for continuing to make new permagrins each day!
