Ok when you put Gen V up there its like saying do you want "mystery meat", some folks don't know what that is yet.

If the Z/28 was ready earlier in the year when they shelved it, why the 2 year wait for fine tuning?
It's gotta be the DI Gen 5.
Release the Z/28 and C7 the same year, I'm thinking DI V8 (and that motor fits perfectly with the Z/28's origins).
LS9 = ZL1, remember the engine cost almost as much as the car in 69' (sound familiar).

I think, to be a fair and accurate unofficial poll, a brief description of each powertrain choice should be included.

I edited some changes. I didn't want to be too specific though because the idea of the poll was for people to also explain what they think their choice should have. For example: I chose LS9/LSA Hybrid, because I think a LS9 cam, pistons, SC would be a great choice, keeping all the expensive titanium bits out for cost, yet keeping probably very similar durability and some good headroom with a larger SC. Maybe it won't rev' as high, stock, but nothing some valvesprings wouldn't help. Polls are naturally pretty limiting and I wanted to try to be as liberal as possible with keeping some structure.

If I'm way off, let me know. I like to see how people think
